Mainstream news media attention for HPL Cycling and the Winter Time Trial Series continues to grow. On December 8, 2019, CBC Saskatchewan’s reporter, radio host, and sports fanatic Peter Mills (@TweeterMillsCBC) hosted CBC’s Saskatchewan Weekend. He described his experiences with riding an indoor trainer, experiencing Zwift and what HPL Cycling has organized for cyclists in the province.
During the interview, Mills speaks with HPL Cycling’s Paul Cutting and Western Cycle Source for Sports’ Dane Stennes. The interview highlights HPL’s work in organizing a multi-day time trial event for cyclists across the province through bike shops in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert. More details about the Winter Time Trial Series are available at: https://www.hplcycling.ca/winter-time-trial-series
If you ever wondered what it is like to do a time trial indoors in winter, on a trainer, this is a must-listen! Extra bonus: you get to hear what it sounds like when a non-cyclist discovers the true-to-life efforts and power needed in virtual cycling. Spoiler: Mills breaks a sweat.
